If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I put my stained and water marked Suede Ugg boots in the wash! They were almost past repair, and thought I had nothing to lose as they looked a mess. Well, I wish I had come across this stuff! I am pretty confident that if I had protected my boots with this then they wouldn’t have got in such a state. The stuff I’m on about it this:
It is a textile and leather protector from Liquid Leather, which gives protection against spillages and dirt on specialist leathers such as suede, nubuck and aniline.
It is really easy to apply- all I did was apply a thin coat, wait 3 hours for it to dry and then apply one more final coat as directed. You then have to wait 12 hours for it to fully dry. A little warning- complete application in a well ventilated area or outside, the fumes are very strong.

For those of you unable to watch the video, it shows me running water on to my suede boots and shoes. As demonstrated, it repels water so well and does not soak in. This will prevent those nasty water marks and will give you enough time to wipe up any spillages to prevent staining. You could also use it for your leather bags (one I am going to try!) and even your leather sofa. It is advised that you retreat after six months.
This protector will help your textiles or leather to continue to look like new. The spray or water whilst testing, did not alter the colour of my suede shoes- usually liquid would darken it. This may not be the case for all materials so make sure the product is evenly sprayed on.
I have been wearing my suede shoes for the last couple of months and they are continuing to be protected- I still wouldn’t wear them on a heavy rainy day, but when I have been caught in any showers they haven’t been marked or discoloured.
